the 125 bikes are made for the market in china and as such there is a 90kph limit (strictly enforced) there , 90kph os approx 50mph the basic 125 bikes have a 16in rear wheel with a 120/80/16 tyre I have just entered the gear ratios for the 125 into an online calculator , the std gearing on most 125s are 13/42 , here are the calculations for both the basic , and a larger 14 and finally a 15 sprocket , I have calculated the modern tyre used (as opposed to the 1999 tyre) and lowered the revs to a sensible (chinease) 8000 rpm std gearing , and at 8000 rpm the max speed on 5th gear 13t ft sprocket now a 14 t and finally a 15t sprocket if you are tall/heavy or have hi rise bars fitted you are unlikely to get those speeds other helpful hints and tips are on this forum , go to the home page and look ! please join the forum and contribute! sinnis.proboards.com/
