I thought some of you might be interested in seeing what we get as the Thai version of the Sinnis/HMC 250. Introducing the Stallions Centaur 250 Max. Photos at the end of the post (I hope!!) After a few months wait, I finally took delivery yesterday. Engine is the same as you blokes get in UK, I suppose, except that it's finished in silver although black is also available. I prefer silver. Mine's red but we also get matt & gloss black, white, green & orange. Wheels are either cast or spoked. I wanted cast wheels so that I have a better choice of tubeless tyres. As you can see, the tyres are HUGE - 4.0 x 17 front and 4.5 x 17 rear. I have a feeling I'll be replacing those before too long but I'll give them a try - they might be better than I anticipate. There's a small oil cooler just in front of the cylinder head on the RHS to help in the higher temperatures here. I quite like the little 'Stallions' plate on the front mudguard but others mightn't feel the same for safety reasons. Exhaust is stainless throughout. Some stainless fasteners also used. Price -- 75,900 baht which is about £1700 at the moment. I've been biking for 45 years or so in UK and had many, many bikes but don't want a bigger bike than this here - the Thai roads are the second most deadly in the world, apparently. Only have 120 km on the clock at the moment so have to do a few more to form a proper opinion but so far, so good.
